Sensitive Sensor

My new i20 Sportz has a fully loaded anti theft mechanism. The flip side is everytime the car hood is being cleaned, even slight pressure causes the alarm to go off... tried many options but still does not work. It becomes irritating when kids are playing they playing tap the hood. The only alternative is to use the manual key to lock it. Any suggestions on how to get the sensitivity reduced?

Re: Sensitive Sensor

Call the company customer care. Most modern systems come with an option to reduce the sensitivity. I'm sure they should be able to help you. Infact, they may even guide you through a DIY, to reduce and increase sensitivity.

Re: Sensitive Sensor

SURPRISE! The technical team does not know how to reduce sensitivity - they have advised me to remove the speaker wires to resolve the problem! Sanity check - anyone!
