Engine Remapping

i have been enlightened to know in this forum that the cars in india are detuned for "driving conditions", sometimes upto 80% (GODFATHER & BUSA / http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/shifti...ohc-vtec.html).

phew! does it mean that the indian baleno which is 92 BHP will churn out 115 BHP if tunes right? pls tell me more about this. i wud love 2 know how this can b done and what are the effects of this on the engine. FE, maintanence etc. is there somebody in delhi who can uptune a stock baleno?

Yes its possible to tweak the ECU for more power. Its called as Engine Remap. For e.g the RS in other countries produce 180bhp. In India it produces 150bhp. SO Petes has remapped the car for more power. He remapped his black RS to 235BHP. I guess Autopsyche will be able to help you out.

Cheers

Yes i guess you have to. You can PM him http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/members/turboindia.html

Currently he is doing the remaps/rechipping for most german cars like Octavia RS, Mercedes (almost all), BMWs, Hyundias, Octavia TDI, Laura, Audis, etc.

He did say though that Accord was in the pipeline.

P.S which car you got?

Yes you have to specify the car - These remaps are car specific.

We cannot remap the baleno and can presently do only the VAG cars.We can do the Merc's and BMW's now but that is only by physically removing the ECU from the car and bench flashing it. But in a few weeks we should have the hardware to flash them via the serial port,

For the VAG cars we presently have the best maps in the world. We have around 110 remapped RS's/Riders around now and any of our customers would vouch for the quality of the product. You cant get a smoother and more powerful set up.

Take care
