req help with indigo sx (diesel) on board diagnostics

hi all,
could anyone shed some light on the on board diagnostics (used for diagnosing check engine light) of the indica/indigo diesel. is it OBD II compaitable ? also what protocol does it use and where is the scantool connector located ? if not OBD II then ... ALDL/OBD I ?
i am looking to build a scantool and use an OBD software like this

for a user interface through a laptop/car computer
any help would be greatly appreciated.

yea it better be, its 2006 now. its a f*n shame if it isnt. all american/european manufacturers have them installed mandatory since 1996.
