Does sun film hinder night vision and make driving in the dark troublesome. I heard sometime that it is not allowed by the law. Is this true?


Thinking of the hot conditions i feel it is essential but am also doubtful that during night it affects visibility and hence not safe.

Any sunfilm is bound to reduce visibility.

As per law the side glasses must have 50% visibility and rear glass 70% visibility.

I have used Birla 3M sunfilm specs RE50 for side glasses and RE70 for rear glass and found it be good both at cooling and visibility at night. [this also confirming to the RTO rules]

If i somehow get the permission for the darkest sunfilm will it reduce the visibility at night to much extent ??

abhibh...Under any circumstance..The RTO does not allow Dark Glasses..specially now in times of Terrorism and Crime against Women...!
You can however put in the Light Films or Rather Put Curtains - If you so really want to block sunlight...!
If you choose to put dark sunfilm and get caught during traffic week driives or so..No problem all you need is One Blue Gandhi Ji ( Read Rs.100) thats the fine...!
Even doctor prescription/skin allergy are not accepted for dark film use...!
But then Who follows the Law...!
