If you wait for a few months, Maruti might come up with a CRDi. It's time they introduced it.

Hi Cooldude ,

Can you elaborate what you mean by a dead engine ? Esteem Diesel has a TUD 5 which is a legendary reliable engine..How many Kms has it run ? Are you unable to get sapres / service for it ?

Thx.

@w 12 The engine has done over a lakh. And by dead I mean that it does not pull even on mild slopes.

@zulfikar: as i posted before that the engine is sold, will these people be able to source the accent engine ???

in delhi the accent crdi engine is available for ~60k in mayapuri ,for the mods and feasability consult some mechanic as nobody here would be able to help you about that, the suspension from the esteem is fine for new engine as it is lighter than the currently installed engine.pls dont try to use the existing gearbox.

Cool dude need not worry name the engine and your budget and i will get it for you, cause i live near Red fort in delhi which is very famous for all this. And even i have an esteem so if this transplant goes good belive me i will be the next person to get this done. So do not give up i am with you bro just let me know when do you need the engine and i will start looking ...... and one more thing i have a guy who works with fedex so if you like the engine then shipping it to hybd will not be an issue.

Hi.
Forget the Crdi. The Toyota Turbo Diesel 1.4 will kick any butt and more.
Have an estem with that engine and it just flies and gives 20 kmph in city. it also has a performance filter and strut braces.
