Self Servicing a Maruti 800

Well, I have a 1989 model Maruti 800 in a pretty bad state. The mechanic says its running into the bonus period. I got the piston rings changed a year ago and now they are done with again. I am fairly new under the hood so I plan to learn doing things my self, on that Maruti.

The thing is, there is a lot of slack on the drive belt and it definitely needs changing. I want to it my slef and could use a little assistance on how to proceed.

Now that's a tough one for anyone - to help you out through this thread! Plenty of DIY videos on YouTube though...

What NOT to do? This...
