1st service for XETA - where to go?

Hi Friends,

My Xeta will be due for its first service in few days. Any
suggestions on which TASC I should visit? I stay in south Mumbai, but am
prepared to travel few kms for good service. A friend of mine loves Om Sai
at Kandivli and says they are the best ones around. Any more
suggestions?

Some problems that need to fixed are as follows
1. Rear driver side glass handle keeps poppping out
2. Reverse gear does not engage smoothly.
3. Wiper fluid container leaks
4. Usual checks/wash/top-up etc.
5. Mileage on 87 octane - 13+ / Mileage on 91 Octane - 11 Why?
6. Fitting of 2nd reverse light for symmetry sake
7. AC is noisy at 3 & 4 levels. Infact more noisier than the engine
itself. This was also the problem in other demo XETAs
8. The pedal heights will need to be reduced a bit.

Since these are small jobs, I am looking at a TASC which can do
it in front of me and deliver in few hours. Looking forward to your
suggestions.

Thanks & Regards,

There are Indica owners here but probably nobody from South Mumbai. Which dealer did you buy your car from? If you don't hear from anybody, why not stick to Om Sai since you have a friend happy with their service?

Hi People,

I just got my service manual yesterday. The 1st service is at 5000 and not at 1000 as I was believing. Does that mean I have to wait to get these small problems solved?

Please advise.

Thanks & Regards,

You don't have to wait. Take it to service center as soon as possible. Your problem areas have nothing to do with regular service.

Will they charge for these? I don't think they will need to replace anything. I have also posted this query on the Indica users group, but even there people are not satisfied with the service provided. There have been cases of parts being flicked, wrong billing etc.

Hence I am a bit apprehensive regarding the first service.

Since it is a petrol, I dont think where you service really matters.
What the guys do there certainly matters though. Suggest stay with them for an hour or so and try to gauge their skills.
