Fluid leakage or condensation?

I noticed a leakage or condensation of some fluid from the section located after the air filter on my Esteem diesel. I looked under the hood a few hours after driving the car and there was a large amount of fluid that had leaked - the fluid got onto the cap of the brake fluid reservoir behind it and onto the hoses below. It wasn't dripping at the time I looked. Does anyone have a clue of what it might be?

The tape in the picture marks the air intake pipe that comes after the air filter. The small tube with two metal rings comes from the air intake pipe. Then, the black cycle-bell-shaped connector clips onto the engine cover and this is where the leakage appears to occur. The fluid didn't seem like water (perhaps after dissolving something it appears different?), but it isn't greasy like oil either.

Re: Fluid leakage or condensation?

If that black thing is the PCV valve, then it might need a replacement.

Re: Fluid leakage or condensation?

if it happens ONLY after you have used the AC and switched off while parking, then it might be condensation.
if the liquid looks/feels like coolant (or dissolved coolant), it may be PCV valve.

Re: Fluid leakage or condensation?

Hope fully your oil is not overfilled. Might be the PCV valve or diesel..
