Could be that I have mixed up. I was looking at the AT variants of the i20 and Dzire at the same time. Then the Brio AT story came about and I went into a hold. If the Brio AT comes, as is rumoured in the festive season, as confirmed by both Hormazd's blog and a dealership then I go for that.

@Diesel_lover; I think I saw the thread while it was open, and then commented on the transmission as well. As described by you if you want engine braking then you are confined to 1 and 2 only. I will not go up and down hills without enabling engine braking.
