I have a Ritz, about 8 months old now.

One of the rear power windows has given up for the second time .

Last time it started working after a month on it's own. Now, today I washed my car, and the power window stopped working again. Don't know when it'll come back.

Welcome me to the club ! My 6 year old Esteem has the problem of sluggish power windows from day one. Thankfully, they have not given up completely as yet. However, I heard from someone the later generation Esteems came with a better motor for the power windows. Also, can the motor of any other Maruti vehicle be retro-fitted onto the Esteem's power windows ?

The front doors of the Esteem are wide, and the winder mechanism is not the best - there is a lot of load on the motor.

As long as the motors don't trip or the fuse does not blow,it is fine.

All PW motors look alike - it is just that the mounting needs to be checked
