Hello,
I have a typical Problem in my Ford Mondeo Petrol, with AC temperature, which couldn't be fixed by ford service centre.
Issue Example: if outside temperature is 26 degrees, then my AC will work work at 22 degree. But if outside temperature is 25, then my AC (if set in 22 Degrees) will blow hot air.Looks like there should be a difference of 4 degrees, and then only AC works.
This issue started recently. Looks like AC thermostat issue.
Any Idea? Any Garages in Bangalore, who can solve this issue?
Thanks in advance.
Rai
It can be following
-cabin temperature sensor
-external ambient temperature sensor
-thermostat
Also check Ac refrigerant pressure
Hello,
AC works at its best and its one of the best AC comparing to my Fiat Petra or Vista. So there is no issue with AC.
I think its Cabin Temperature Sensor.
Any Idea where this Temperature sensor is located?
Thankyou Jeroen for the website link. (Ford Mondeo in India are MK3 model)
I tried the Steps given in the website. (Diagnostic Steps). I got no error code, which means, as such AC Unit is working fine.
I think issue is with the inside cabin temperature sensor, may be due to accumulation of dust (though I drive with window glasses closed always).
Need to find out where this internal temperature Sensor in located . Any idea?

On a left hand drive look below the steering column on the left hand side you'll see a small grill. The cabin sensor is located right behind it.
So on a right hand drive it might on the right hand side. Look for that small grill/vent.
