is your ride a Maruti 800 ? a clicking (khat-khat-khat!) kind of noise on a turn could be the wheel bearing - most commonly with the front wheels!! rear wheels...hmmm! take it easy on the turns meanwhile!

Dude its not the wheel bearing its the axle noise. The khat khat noise that u say while taking turns shows that u need an axle change.Although if u change the axle bearing your problem will be solved. It will cost u 1100 to 1200 rs for an axle bearing change and a new axle of an 800 costs 2200 rs for the left side one and the right side one is a little more expensive.I highly recommend u get the whole axle changed asap as this sound will increase over a certain period of time and in sometime it will even start comming while u go straight.Meanwhile take it easy on humps and bad roads.

That noise is coming from your drive shaft. Change is the only way. Though some mechanics say that they can re-condition that drive shaft. Suggest don't fall for that.

oopppss sorry i thought it was an 800.The left drive shaft i replaced in my car cost me 2200 so i can imagine how much a balenos drive shaft will cost.By the way how old is your car?and does this sound come when u turn left or right? If both the drive shafts are gonners than u are looking at some serious expense there.

its the cv joints or the bush but as long as u dont do any over roading (village roads) it will survive but better to change soon. Dont take sharp turns on the side affecting most.

such noise can come from front lower arms, if it is obvious in turns it could also be axle. you are heading for a front end overhaul. bearing dont make this noise. bearing makes humming sound which keeps growing louder with time.

khat -kaht sound is from lower arms . do remember to chande associated rubber parts also, small things but matters to keep things in good shape. never reuse rubber components.
axle sound is more like heavy grinding with khat-khat sort.

Baleno Lower arms for 3500 a pair .after hearing this i love 800 even more.My car lower arms cost 350 a pair.As for the axle from the sound u are telling its definately the axle but i doubt how can the axle wear out so soon.Check the axle boots. They get torn sometimes due to a stone hitting them and all the grease inside starts spilling out and due to the lack of lubrication to the axle joints they start failing.
Keep checking the axle boots on a weekly basis and change them if they are torn asap. This will save a lot lot of cash.
As for the axles i think 7 to 8 grand per piece sounds more like it.Although u get NON original axles too dont go for it as they will fail in no time.Thats why mass is a place to go for such parts.
