Rumour: Sail sedan & hatchback recall soon (gear lever comes off!)

So, if the info serves me right, the SAIL twins have created history by coming up with a unique problem in the Indian Auto Industry.

Listen to this. 'The gear lever comes off while shifting gears'.

'2 cars' have been reported to have come up with this problem and the SAIL twins are being officially recalled. This is a soft recall and might not be announced in the media for obvious reasons.

GM (with and without the China connection) is struggling, BIG TIME!

What could be the next news from GM? Body coming off the car under braking?

What is GM trying to prove here? It is high time they get off manufacturing and go for an holiday!

Hope those '2 cars' along with their occupants are safe!

Anurag.

Re: Rumour: Sail sedan & hatchback recall soon (gear lever comes off!)

I just left the service station after a software update.

What I understood based on my discussion there is that only a small percentage of diesel Sails are impacted.

That no official announcement was made since the number of diesel sails sold is itself low and this recall is for a fraction of those.
