  3. Emergency Brake flashing
  4. Rear wiping
  5. Comfort turn signals (from 3 to 5)
What other mods can be done with the VCDS to my Polo?
I have tried the following on my Polo GT TSI, check them in your car
- indicator celebration/Needle Sweep
- Changed the "mute" key in the steering to "Push to Talk"
- Tear wiping
- Changed the "speaker volume for the rear park assist"

Hi rpunwani, I already ordered it online from Germany. Costed me 6k, I am assuming 1-1.5K will be customs when it arrives next week. So total being close to 7k.

It was a pain to find this part online as the one for left hand drive cars is readily available but not for right hand drive.

Ultimately I ordered from a Russian website, that my translator failed to translate. A few hit and trials and the order went through.
Product was shipped from Germany yesterday.

Thanks Rohan,

Our Polo does not have steering controls, so PTT is not possible for me.

Can you confirm that the needle swap is possible on a stock cluster?

The rear park assist volume is ok for us so I will not fiddle with this one.

I have tried in my stock cluster(Polo GT TSI pre face-lift), it works fine.
If you have VCDS, please try the following
Instruments->UDS Adaptation->Indicator Celebration

People with RCD 320HU,
Does your HU Display contact name when you receive a call via Bluetooth? Mine doesn't. Is there any VCDS tweak that can be done to enable this?

TIA.

No it doesn't. Only number. VCDS can't help with any music system related issues on the Vento/Polo.

I think the RCD320 doesn't even show up on the main screen of VCDS as a separate controller like it should. "56-Radio" doesn't show up for the RCD320.

And yes, the RCD320 does not have phonebook/contact name display. It just shows numbers, I doubt theres anything you can do about it.

Thank you. I've heard from many people that it does display the contact name. You can check the last few pages of the GT TSI review wherein many have mentioned the same. Hence my doubt. Thank you for clarifying it.

Tried this on our 2012 Polo 1.2 MPI Highline, but did not work. I also tried to enable the rear wiper enabling when reverse gear is engaged and front wiper is working - this too did not work.

Any more tweaks ??

re: VCDS (Vag-Com Diagnostic System) for VW & Skoda - Discussion Thread

Hi, I have been trying to enable Passive TPMS on my Passat but have not been able to achieve anything.

Below is my ABS coding:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Address 03: ABS Brakes Labels: 3AA-614-109.clb
Part No SW: 3AA 614 109 AF HW: 3AA 614 109 AF
Component: J104 C2 450M V4EA 0023
Revision: --H07--- Serial number: 00000005237700
Coding: 0134073
Shop #: WSC 73430 790 00055
VCID: 71E9334F685CC1966BD-8024

No fault code found.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

VCDS asks me to add +1024 to 0134073 (to make it 0135097) to enable 7K6 Passive TPMS, but the coding is not accepted. I have also tried adding +2048, but then the coding is accepted and my AUTO START STOP doesn't work, nor does TPMS.

Can anyone help me with the required correct coding.

re: VCDS (Vag-Com Diagnostic System) for VW & Skoda - Discussion Thread

I'm in a bit of a pickle.
I got some VCDS tweaks done by the super helpful showroom guys.
The problem is that the cornering lights have stopped working.
My car is the GT TSI Facelift.
Tweaks done:
1.Rear comfort wipe (copied binary from robi's and gannu's post)
2.Lane change 3-4
3.Indicator celebration

Copied the binary for Flashing hazard lights on hard braking, but it doesn't work as well. Tried 100-0 110-0
As far as I'm aware it should work over 100kmph
The only way of fixing this would be if someone posts a screenshot of VCDS with
BIT 0-2-3-4-5-6 turned on. Then I can copy the binary code and everything should work.
Bit 0 should be on if it means that the parking lights will turn on with the ignition.

I believe that is applicable for the Laura. Not the Polo. I had activated the wiper washer fluid low level light on a colleague's Laura sometime back.

Hi newtonMeter, as we had discussed some time back, I had recently swapped my car radio with a BOSCH RCD510.

Can you please tell how did you change the car from a hatch to sedan in VCDS. My car does not have OPS, but since the install of the Bosch unit. I have been noticing that the car image that pops up on my MFD (when we open the door) is a wagon. It used to be a sedan earlier.

I think somehow RCD 510 and my MFD are linked and fixing the car in the RCD 510 should fix the MFD display. Thanks

re: VCDS (Vag-Com Diagnostic System) for VW & Skoda - Discussion Thread

Do VW service centers have the capability to RESTORE the VCDS settings for all the modules with one click to Factory settings?

I think I have fiddled too much with VCDS and feel the need to just restore everything as my annual service is due soon.
I do have VCDS scans of my car (Initial) but still would prefer the factory reset. Possible?

Also I came across a weird fault code. Does any one have any background on this. Thanks.
