Hi guys,

I need a oil catch can to route the pcv gases through before i can route it back to the airbox. It's to prevent the oil from gettin deposited in the carb & the intake runners. Is such a oil catch can available here, does it come standard on any of the cars? I need it for the M800.

Without the oil catch can i'm thinking of venting the crankcase to free air with a filter, but it's bad for the atmosphere. I don't want oil mist going into the engine either.

Cheers.

Holy Molly , i am answering a zillion year old post but any ways , there is no OIL catch can avalible for 800 as far as i know , but if one of us got smart and started making one and is selling it thats good news for me ,

Making an oil catch can is real easy , i am in process of making one for my Fiat palio 2002, Please youtube for it , there are tons on ideas ,

best of luck :D

You can buy Oil Separator used in Safari, will cost apprx 750Rs. But its not a catch can, you need to route the filtered and collected oil back to the engine (or look at my custom comment). The oil mist can be collected into an attached container (custom built) but will need to be manually emptied.

:)
That was a very old query, i had a Maruti SS80 during that time. I didn't pursue it though. Btw if anyone's looking for a cheap oil catch can look at Enfield Bullet's oil catch can, the one way valve is a duckbill breater, it can be used with some minor modifications.

I dont know why do you need catch tank in the first place. That too for the PCV. Oil accumulation is very low to cause any significant problem.
