My 99' model Lancer is fitted with a Lovoto Kit. I got it tuned last week. And have a new problem, in a stp and go situation the car literally holds back even when I step on the throttle to the floor. The engine just gives up on me. I will have to press clutch and then pump the throttle a little bit a little bit and later the engine responds.

What could be the problem, at times the engine stalls...

Can the experienced people here tell me
1) How much does Auto LPG costs/litre
2) How much mileage would a car like zen give per litre/ kg of LPG
3) How much is the difference in running costs if any
4) Does the petrol FE drops after fitting LPG kit and driving on petrol.

Thanks

Obviously, she's bogging down...Needs more power.
Try giving her a richer AF mixture.

Do an Advanced Search for LPG and your question will be answered...

that is typical of lovato kits...tuning by an expert could help in the short run, but the problem will be there for ur life...it has something to do with the kit itself...pm me if u r interested, i will give a right contact who will rectify ur problem

Hi,

I am back.. Got my cars fine tunning done this week. now its giving me better performance...barely diff betwn Petrol and LPG (well climbing uphill still exists but with lesser effect)...

mechanic 1st tsted my acr with petrol..tunned it up with the filter adjustment to ive max eff and speed....then the LPG setting was tunned to give better results...

Mechanic also suggetsd he can even better the speed if required on long drives but have to spend a bit og more gas (wel no need to do this while driving in city like mumbai and specially on WE highway...u never touch a speed of 100 anyhow)...

I tsill have my fingers crossed..lets wait for a week or 2 to make sure the setting is permanent and do not ahve to visit the mech every now and then...

1. Costs around 24-25 per litre
2. Should give around 11kmpl, if ur car gives 12-13kmpl in petrol
3. Calculate this urself (Savings of Rs.27 per litre - 1 km drop in mileage)
4. Normally, it should not.

Thanks Esteem lover,
Actually by running costs i meant any additional expenditure due to LPG like earlier oil change, increase in service costs etc.

nothing that i know of , except that the kit has to be serviced regularly for optimum performance.

I have a 2004 Fiat Palio 1.2, want to get converted to LPG/CNG, You suggest which one is better. More over what kind of mileage i can expect after conversion as cost per km with petrol is around 4.00 with a/c on. I am from New Delhi. Too hot here to drive w/o a/c.

Please also mention the total cost for everything. I wannna go for automatic changeover kit which after a certain rpm changes from petrol to LPG/CNG.

Regards.
