First we need to know if the car is a carb or MPFI, then whether this happens in petrol also, if so, is it with the same intensity ? if it happens in petrol too, then MASS better fix that. they cannot just blame it on the LPG install. it is their job to rectify the problem while in petrol. of course, they would rather prefer your friend to spend more money on replacing silencers.

I think the simplest method would be to empty fully and fill to only the capacity it can take. For example the tordial tank can take 28 litres(ie 80% of its 35 litre capacity).

So we can empty and fill exactly 28 litres. At Palakkad reliance bunk, I filled 30 litres for a 28 litre capacity. I lost 50 Rs and learnt this lesson. This may be an issue on long drives with few bunks on the route.

maintenance of air filter is very important as far as lpg is concerned. you can immediately notice the change in pickup after you install new filter. so best is to get a free flow for small engined cars and extreme for larger cars.

a clean air filter is vital in LPG cars. almost 75% of complaints in LPG cars are because of unclean filters.

i am using extreme free flow in baleno without any problems, all my pickup and power issues are solved. but in santro its not able to sustain idle rpm with lpg. i have to increase the gas flow to make it run. now its not picking up speed as it does in petrol. on 4 th gear at 40kmph if i slam the accelerator the engine starts dying down. any one has idea on this? thinking of going for ecu control for both the cars to prevent damage to cat converter

the idea is, no matter what filters you use, unless they are free of dust, the pick up will drop drastically. yes you can have free flows etc in a LPG car
