Imported Cars : Servicing/maintenance/Warranty

I'd like to know whats involved in Servicing and Maintenance of Imported cars. ( esp. BMW's , RR's, Bentleys, Ferraries etc ).

-- Especially, is the warranty still valid in india?.
-- Do you get the original parts?.
-- What about recalls if any?.
-- How about body parts? ( are they available in india )

How do the RollsRoyce's and Bentleys in non-metros get serviced or repaired? do they have to be shipped to delhi or bombay?.

Thanks,

Hey Dude.. as far as BMW, Rolls Royce and Range Rovers are conserned.. Navnit motors is the authorised dealer. the warranty is applicable if the car is legally imported and with proper documents.. as far as parts r concerned the part r directly imported from BMW Ag, and all the recalls are performed as per the companies directions.. also we have quiet a few cars which r in non metroes.. including the RR.. in such cases we go directly to the customer for the servicin/repairing..

Regards,
Maverick.

Hey Maverick,
Thanks for the info. I think you are the best qualified person to give
this info. . I've seen your credentials -- awesome and envying.
Congratulations on your RR certification.

As far as Navnit is considered, do you have a separate parts shop
where one can buy Genuine parts and get the work done outside?
( ofcourse nobody might want to do that in india )

I think its become easy now to maintain imported cars, what with most mother companies having a presence in India and also with parts available on eBay

For exotics,OE spare parts come from Dubai/Singapore.
For sports cars that are sold in the south east, you get spares from thailand or Malaysia. This is the cheapest route for spares.

Now servicing them would require people very technically sound and the proper tools for the job including the diagnostics for each and every specific engine and version of the import.
