Ofcourse they'll beat the bike. A bikes only weapon is it's straightline acceleration but in this case, both the Ikon and the NHC have a faster 0-100 acceleration time.

If you wanna see some real racing action, try stock Zen vs 180 dtsi.

Optra vs Fiero

Shan2nu,

I guess that math is pretty correct. But I'm wondering whether a modded fiero can do 0-100 in 10 secs.

There's no way the Optra can do 100 in under 10. I think about 11 is more the figure for the optra.

The one thing that Bikers can do is get home early in crazy city driving conditions. Ofcourse many end up without limbs at the end of the day!

Have you considered that the effect of having a rider on the bike reduces the power to weight ratio of the bike considerably?

You also have to consider the fact that the CG of an F1 machine is way lower than that of a MotoGP bike.

Thats the whole point. So, the next time someone dreams of racing his bike against a similar car, DON'T. Hehe

If a bike has to beat a car, it'll need close to twice the power to weight ratio (maybe even more).

Even then it might not be able to beat the car. Bikes are dangerous things especially when they are loaded with horses.

But yeah, in city conditions, a bike will whip any car into submission.

See for a given CC :

-> A 2 stroke Bike is Quicker/Faster than a 4 Stroke bike.
-> A bike is Quicker/Faster than a Car of same cc.

Simple

It's not that simple as a bike weighs less than half the weight of the car. Power to weight is what i'm looking at.

Exactly sir & thats why i said simple

The thread asked which is quicker & for that we need to have some baseic standard for comparo & I used cc as the base for comparison.

Whats your point? All I am trying to say is that in some practical situations bikes will beat cars. Are you upset about that? Cool down.

I think I have registered at xbhp. But I do not post there and that site does not interest me very much. And btw, I love my car more than my bike!
