I am considering a Gypsy which is fitted with tubeless 215 tyres.

I plan to do a fair bit of offroading with the Gypsy and hence was considering sticking to stock PR185's since I have seen these stock tyres handle rough conditions much better.

Also I personally prefer the handling with the smaller tyre. Even the 205 was a bitch to handle!!

Opinion of the gurus? Do tubeless tyres handle off-road conditions better? Like Tadoba or Ashtavne jungles or Ladakh? Can one person fi a tyre by himself in an emergency?

don't know how well they will help you on your Jungle Tour, But yes its very simple to repair a Tubeless tyre, You will need a Portable air pump for the Jungle though.

See, when you upgrade to broader tyres, you need to compensate on profile.... such that it matches the overall diameter of your old tyre.

Going low on profile isn't helping you in anyway. Low profile tyres aren't designed to handle offroad excursions.

For offroading, i feel your profile should be around 70 and above.

BTW, what size are the stock tyres? 185/(?) R(?)
