I think the problem will be apparent if you dismantle the clutch plate.
I think it would be more to with usage pattern (clutch being dumped/ spinning wheel suddenly getting traction etc.) rather than engine torque.
How are the UJs and CV joints in this vehicle holding up?

Came across this YouTube video where a clutch is shown dismantled :



For the impatient - scan forward to ~10:30 mins in the video.

Was surprised by the way the springs are installed in the clutch - there's very little holding them on in place !

One can also see why the springs would be effective in only one direction
