I guess that is just a temporary bonnet used for the drag.

This City is not a TC-ed City. Its just got a free flow (or proably more mods) and good body kit. Kit made by Team Motor Works.

But is that a Vtec, looks more like a 1.5 to me. Look at the wheels, they look like 13".

We have 3 turbo charged cars.

Honda 1.5 doing 7 psi with custom made JE pistons(Blue)
Honda Vtec doing 7 psi with custon made JE pistons(Orange)
Ikon 1.6 doing 4 psi(no paint on yet)

A few cars r very easy to work on but some r a real pain.
Any body wants a turbo???(only fuel injected engine)

Thanks

Hey KS what about power. Can you tell us the details of those cars?
How much does the Vtec produce?

Hi,
I dont have a dyno, but the hondas with out NOS should be about 145-150hp and after turbo and NOS over 200hp for sure.Thats the reason why we had to use JE pistons. For a drag race these 2 honda should be doing 13.5 sec@190kmh
I would not want to give out all the specs cause its like a trade/race secret. But to give u an idea about the heat produced inside the engine we have to use water injection.(not on the cooler but into the intake pipe)

Thanks for asking
Karan

dudes

the green city is turbo'ed, its neville poonawala's car, he also has the old white mustang which has lulvarised many others at the drags

it has a garett T3 turbo & the manifolds were made by ajay
the performance is pretty much the same in low speeds..50-60, but after that the car goes berserk and pulls away like a bullet!

Looks like some kind of metal sheeting with holes to me.

Well an advantage would be that its lighter.
And then what it does to the aerodynamics, airflow and thermodynamic efficeincy of the engine and cooling system is quite a debatable point.

Looks like they are mountings for some extra lights/fog lights.

However, what i want to know is whether he bought that bonnet readymade, or actually had it pressed at the honda plant? ..that would be interesting...

if u have the original bonnet (a second hand one is good enough from the scrap yard).. tinkering the perferated sheet wouldnt be a difficult task in the hands of a good guy..

I agree... never underestimate the skills and ingenuity of our roadside mechanic, metalworkers etc etc.

However the curves on the bonnet are tapering and look very well done....hence the question?

Wow, 200bhp with NOS is brilliant!!!!

1/4 mile in 13.5secs@190kmph??? How is that possible. According to calculations a 13.5 secs car should hit between 165-175kmph.

How come none of these 13 sec cars came for the drags?? The SL55 AMG was doing around 13-14 secs, these Hondas would have given it a hard time for sure.

Ok, atleast tell what tyres you're using? Size, brand and speed rating. Nothing more..........

Regards...

Hi Karan,

May i ask how you came to those figures? Im guessing the figures were reached in a purely academic way since you dont have access to a dyno?

Say 100bhp (stock1.5) +5bhp(freeflow) +5bhp(k&n) +35bhp(turbo) =145bhp.....something like that?

Dont you think the HP figures are a bit optimistic?

cheers
