Which premium oil brand would you like to see in India?

We have quite a few oil brands in India already. But when I check for details and contents, some of the better oil brands are not available here.

US websites are all gaga over Royal Purple, Redline and Amsoil.

Euro Specialists and forums thinks Fuchs is much better than motul and Mobil. Infact Fuchs withdrew from the Indian Retail market. Also what they charge for Millers makes me think it is made of Gold. Also heard only good things about LIqui Moly in sports cars and bikes.

Australians think Nulon is the best oil for cars down under.

Which of these brands would we want to be launched in India for its quality?

Or is it all humbug market speak and we should stick to Castrol, Mobil, Mak and Servo?

liquimoly has a wide range of products. Their OEM and Non-OEM product line is very strong and well accepted. Will be a good addition to Indian market.

re: Which premium oil brand would you like to see in India?

Just like you said AUS has XYZ type of oil, EU uses XXX type of oil and US has ABC type of oil. Similarly, India too has good oils in the market that works for Indian conditions - Shell, Mobil, Servo, Castrol are all good more or less.

I dont think cars in India have issues with their engines related to quality of oil.

Obviously, I wont be putting too thin oil oil formulated for colder US conditions in my car.

Not sure if India allows oils to be directly imported by these players from their international markets. Some level of Indian manufacturing will still be there to satisfy govt norms.

I thought Mitasu was pure Japanese import.

Mitasu, Takumi, Totachi, Yokki are some of the names. Russian businessmen rebranding oil in Singapore and selling from Japan as per this link. I trust BITOG completely.

Something more outrageous is this hello kitty oil from ENI (formerly AGIP).

I better take a gun and shoot myself than pour that baby product in my car.

Thanks

My personal choice would be Amsoil followed by Royal Purple.

The likelihood of these premium synthetics being introduced in a country like India that is so very price sensitive is low.

Wasn't Liqui Moly present in India? I think I saw quite a lot of billboards in '90's. I have been hearing that our ex-member of Parliament had stakes in it or part-owned it.

Apart from Amsoil, Repsol is what I would like to see here.

Haven't seen it Sheel. As far as what I have heard from mechanics is the LiquiMoly never set foot in India and they are really good in Middleeast. They planned for joint ventures in India, but have not see them do any ads till date in our channels.

Details about who was a part of this Liqui Moly campaign. Searched but did not find anything.

Liqui Moly is present in India. They had a stall at the recent Auto Expo 2016 (Components). Bhpian Sidindica has been using it in his Punto and is very happy -
