Hi,
*I own a black ford ikon..just 4 months old..a couple of days ago, i observed a lot of very faint scratches on the body..though very minor, they become visible when out in the sunlight..i guess it must be the way the vehicle is washed..i checked out the couple of articles on the newsgroup on how to wash the vehicle..will adhere to them from now on..but any remedy for those scratches already present??? *

Tell me about it, I have a black honda ! You need to wash the car using lots of water- unfortunately, my watchman will never understand - give the car a good rub down onece a year and polish every three months.

if u have the time to do it urself, get a good quality wax polish like Turtle wax and all the hairline scratches shud go.
there are other products like Scratch &swirl remover which also help,.
avoid doing this frequently as this removes a layer of the paint.
