hey dom

my zen hits the rev limiter at 6750rpm

you think it makes sense to raise the limiter? i feel it might be stressing the engine? what about waranty?

carb zen has a 6500 limit while the mpfi has a 6000 limit.

Hi,
Satya the carb zen doesnt have a limit of 6500, the carb does go upto 9000 too! but yes you would be over-revving, but usually max is around 7500 (suzuki's in india are pretty high revving engines) infact i have a zen mpfi 16v doing 9000rpm! also have a zen esteem 8v pulling 11k on the revs. The Zen MPFI has a stock limit of 6500rpm.

Cheers
Dom

cool, my autometer shows it maxing it out at 650rpm, but i guess it probably runs out of power at 6500rpm

The OHC VTEC ( type-2 ) has an OTP OKI MCU not NEC. The year 2000 model would be city type-2. Isn't it?
