hey buddy what K&N air filter's do is clearly listed above they support the engine's air intake capacity to a higher extent and by doing that you help the engine to take in more cool air and hence better air-fuel mixture..high rate of cumbustion leads to more power..please do pm me if you need any performance parts...like air filters, performance header's,exhausts, ignition wires, plugs etc etc...cheers....!!

Where do I get one in Pune? I think, getting the popular stock filter should be OK for my MPFI Zen Petrol. Am I right? Or, do you recommend any other type? Shouldn't cost more than 3k, right?

Guy, I plan on installing a K&N filter on my 2005 Esteem this weekend. I was recommended the RC 4550 K&N filer as I was looking for a good performance filter to improve pick-up. Please let me know if this the right one for my car. I was wondering if I can fit a typhoon series? If yes what are the benefits over this on and how much will it cost me? The RC 4550 is about Rs. 4700.

Will look forward to hearing from you guys soon. Thanks.

Hey a lot is being said about the K&Ns. I agree that they do increase air flow which increases the power etc, however, there is one issue that I am concerned about. I have come across various reports (probably one in this site itself-not sure) that the increased air flow is at the cost of air filtration which may be detrimental to the engine. Any views on this?
