Last week I had given my figo at ford body shop to get some work done on the back bumper.

Today when i took the delivery, i noticed the check engine light and asked the Ford team to scan the fault.

The following two errors popped up and was deleted by the technician. I am sure that deleting the error doesnt solve the issue hence i need your advice as to how should i follow up on on these egr error codes:

A faulty EGR valve should be the culprit if the light comes back on.

Watch out for
-abnormal idling
-a tapping noise at rpms slightly above idle
-stalling when the engine idles

If the light doesn't come back on and you don't experience these symptoms then it may be some dirt stuck in the valve itself which could have triggered the error and is now gone.

My Figo Diesel (now at 83XXX Kms) had an EGR malfunction and used to stall under closed throttle idle(when the Odo was at 70xxx Kms). Ford asked for about 15,000 rupees for a new EGR unit. I blanked out the EGR using a $ 5 piece of metal sold on Ebay. All good so far.
