The above part is SGP. There is a localised MGP equivalent(but with the same family/root part number) too. But I cannot guarantee if this will fit.

Part No: 11179M71C11

Price: Rs. 22

No sir, that isn't available separately in MGP. You'll get the reflector, pasted along with the glass. This is done so that the unit is properly sealed.

If you need only the glass, look aftermarket. Some online stores like partsbigboss sell them separately, but let me warn you that the quality is appalling, and that it'd fade in no time.

So I won't recommend changing just the outer transparent thing.

Regards,
Shashi

Soon after I got the part # for the washer pump/motor assembly, the thermostat for the engine cooling looks like is gone bust.

Please provide the thermostat details and cost for Swift Lxi 2005.

Baleno - 2004 Model.

Two things:-

1. There has been a very small oil leakage that has been happening for several years. Have been living with it since it was a minor issue.

Almost all the mechanics diagnosed it to gear oil leakage, and suggesting to replace the "shift rod seal"
Can you help in identifying if there is this specific part available.

2. What would be the cost of starter motor if it is available.

Where should I look for this part??

According to Baleno's Parts manual, this is the part which went in your car.

SGP:
Part No: 31100-64G00
Name: MOTOR ASSY, STARTING
Price: Rs. 17797.5

There is another MGP part, with a different part number, but with the same family number. So it should fit(not sure, do check before purchasing)

Part Number: 31100M79F00
Name: MOTOR ASSY, STARTING
Price: Rs. 3379

Shashi

According to name of the part, I think it is seal that is used on the gearbox where the lever controls the gear shifting connected by cables to the gear lever. Am I right? If yes,

Part Number : 09284M16004
Part Name : Seal, Oil (16X24X5)
Price : Rs 18/-

Images of the part (See No. 9 in image)

Dear Anurag Sir,

Old Baleno had a link rod mechanism for gear shifts, instead of the cables which current gen cars use. The seal which you have given is of the clutch cable, and not the shift rod IMO.

Shashi

Oops! I thought I explained it well earlier. Yes, it is something associated with the gear shift rod. I too do not know exactly except that name. If you do not find one, leave it, no problem.

Starter motor, nothing imemdiate, I somehow got a wild thought that it has something to do with sometimes the engine not starting when hot.

After Mr.Shashi's post below, I too have a doubt whether you are mentioning about another seal that is related to clutch arm. Not sure. Anyway, I think I got a rough idea on what it is about.

I can try to help you with the exact part number if you can post a picture of the leak. Also, leaks can be tricky-a crankcase oil seal leak is often confused as a gearbox leak.

The seat has umpteen parts, mentioning all the part numbers can be a tedious job. Any specific part??

Regards,
Shashi
