generally the daily city traffic makes vehicle not operating at high rpm, and may buildup carbon. Whenever I get chance, I high-speed for a while on highway drives, and the resultant is engine feels a bit smoother lateron on normal speed and even city drives.

Let m recount my own experience in the UK during 1974-76. I had an Escort 1300L (carb of course). If I had been moving in town for a couple of weeks, the first time I went on the Motorway (70mph limit) it would hiccup a couple of times, and then run smoothly! Says it all.

Not aware of Hyderabad since I am located in Bangalore.

Any popular car accessory shop can source it for you or your best bet is eBay/Amazon.

Do you remember Shell petrol bunk in Mythrivanam ? They had this stock earlier. Ever since the crackdown on them, SONAX products have found their way into CARZ and other auto detailing shops in Hyderabad.

I too have observed multiple times that after a 15-20kms full throttle run on a highway (or for that matter ORR in Hyd),
the car does run more smoothly and back in the city becomes much easier to handle. agree:

That's why I make it a point to drive to work via ORR at least once every two months. It not only brings a smile on my face, but also does the car a lot of good. It was only today that I took the Figo to the airport via ORR at speeds that surprised many contenders.

Next on the list is the Fiesta. Perhaps coming Monday!

I agree with both of you and the car feels like it has shed some weight and is running lighter.

I have hardly got the EGR cleaning / engine decarbonization done on either of my car's (Ritz and Swift) thanks to the daily 60 kms run on the ORR.

Though I have got bored totally but does good to the car and FE too.

In the owners manual of Skoda they have mentioned to take the car once a week to a highway and rev so that the carbon built up can be reduced in the engine !

Okk .. Looks like ppl are already doing the revv-ing up on schedules :)
I will also start keeping a monthly reminder for this.

I suppose this is one of the reasons the newer cars remain lighter on pedal, we would take them around for long drives every once in a while just for heck of it, and they would come out cleaner!

Has anyone tried Adon-D for Scorpio Mhawk engines.
Is there a procedure for using these diesel additives like Quantity per ltr ?

Hello friends, which would be the best fuel additive for Swift VDi (2011) already clocked 90k kms? I haven't used any till now.

If your injectors are look clogged, use ABRO injector cleaner once, then on, try "ADON" fuel additive from IOC. Good one for the Swift Vdi, have been using regularly. With a good quality diesel & this additive, the engine becomes very smooth.

I dont know if anyone feels that same, but "ADON" from Indian Oil is the most under represented, under valued and neglected brand. I have tried costly 3M, Valvoline and what not. Ask my family if you don't believe.

I have tried this on my motorcycle and my car. A product that I believe comes with no fancy tags and ad but does it job quietly without any fuss.

My motorcycle was literally coughing day in out due to wax build up in injectors and carbon deposits on manifold. I was frustrated to the limit that I asked my mechanic to open the cylinder and clean it. It ran good for few months and same happened again. I thought I am making mistake with my choice of petrol bunk and hopped on to many before settling down to a COCO near my home. I came across this product when I saw crushed bottles on bunk's floor. I tried this product couple of times and the change was noticeable.

Many might ask, how can the difference be noticeable within short time. That's the point. This product does its work and gives you an output which is beneficial within short time. For heavy duty cleaning make sure you add oodles of it in next tank fill and you will see the slow cleaning process with increase in responsiveness and smoother idling.

Even at high speeds, you will not experience vibrations as it used to be. I observed my motorcycle is responding well, running cooler and FE of about 5 % increase. I don't give anything to FE. But I care a lot about engine smoothness and vibrations.

Believe me or not, I called up these guys (yes, they are based in Hyderabad) and asked them for a bunk that has this product (in bottles, not sachets). They responded really great and gave me a bunk's name which was right at the door step of my previous home location. Got a box of it (Petrol version) and have been using it diligently.

Ofcourse I do the ORR "burn the carbon" of the engine thing every month for the heck of it, but it helps a lot if you have a small help from fuel injector and system cleaners.
