The title lead me to fear otherwise. Hope they do not get cut from lower-end models as a cost-cutting excercise, the excuse being that they are no longer fitted to high-end cars, without giving us the technology to replace them.

Frankly, though, although we have drivers here telling how very useful they are, fog or no fog, I suspect that, to many people, they are just cosmetic. The voices raised against their removal may be a minority.

This is so true. Most average cars on the road don't even have their low beam bulbs adjusted properly. So many cars are even driven with the front and rear fog lights unnecessarily like VAG cars where the knob is just turned and pulled out completely or XUV500s. Seems like the aam junta only cares about how much their lights can blind/dazzle the other person. Knowing exactly where they need the road to be lit up in order for them to drive properly, is not as important.

Looks like the latest casualty is the ultimate car.

Those characteristic round fog lamps (driving lights?) on the massive bumper are gone.

Though the 2012 face lift had them replaced with LED lights placed higher, still there were two levels of lights.

The scoop pics of the next gen Phantom, if it is true, has only the thin slit of LED headlamps with nothing below it.
