Air-con problem: Air flow to feet or windshield not working

Hi Guys, I tried searching the forum, but could not find an exact answer.

I own a 2007 Hyundai Accent GLE petrol.

Couple of months back, I noticed that only the front face airflow setting is working. If I turn the knob to guide air to the face+feet or front windshield, there is no airflow. Also, when I turn the temperature knob to heating, it does not heat effectively.

The A/C cooling works fine. It is just the directional flow which is not working.

Not sure if anyone else had a similar experience and has resolved the above issue?

Thanks!

Keeping car+ac off, just check if you are able to hear sound of like if the slots are been changed when you turn the knob. Since it's mechanical movement through small metallic rods to change the directional flow movements there might be high chance that the connecting mechanism somehow moves away from your front face direction but doesn't get engaged in any another and as a result even front face outlets might also gets blocked and you don't get any air coming out.

Regarding heater, assuming it's not heating effectively get heater core or hose checked by mechanic.

Both issues shouldn't be a big problem.

Thanks.
