What is engine type in OHC 1.5?

Hi, new to this forum; i am interested into OHC 1.5 for sport tuning. In currently in atlanta, US; own and sport tuned; 92 honda civic hb; replaced the non vtec engine D15b7 with tegra B18B LS swap;

In india; i am planning to own OHC 1.5; to mod; maybe turbo; in near Navsari; any input on where to find OHC 1.5?

what is the stamp on the engine?

my daily and fun to drive is Predue H22A manuel; DC sport headers greddy exhaust and AEM Cold air intake; brimbo set front/back;

i don't know what else to say in first post;

The OHC Vtec engine is a B15 C2, the 1.5 should be a B15 something.

I wonder why they chose to name it B15 when, traditionally, B-series has been DOHC.
Any idea?

Type 1 OHCs had B15B9 stamped, Type 2 OHCs are stamped B15C2, even the non VTEC ones. You won't find any aftermarket support on the internet, though this seems to be a variation of the D15B engine, albeit detuned.

From your other posts I acertain that you have OHC VTEC. I was referring to OHC 1.5 when I said "definitely not B15C2".

They dont usually distinguish in engine codes between the VTECs and the Non-VTECs.

My Prelude, 2000 model H22A, black, installed mods; Greddy Exhaust EVO series; AEM cold air intake; DC sport header; stock rims; total gain 15hp; total 215hp; i apolozie i can't calculate in BHP;

i don't belive i'll be expecting gain out 1.5 B15B;

How much total gain after mods in 1.5?

Anyone did vtech head swap on B15B?

I own a Type 2 Gen1 OHC (2002 model) and unlike what ported head has posted the engine number starts with B15B9 but the specs match B15A's as per the above info.
Trouble is there is almost no info on these engines on the web. The D series engine match the SOHC specs of our engines, D15B7 for the non-VTEC 1.5L and D15B for the V-TEC(detuned for Indian conditions).

Why is there no info on the B15 series engines?

Thats bcoz our engine is a combination of a B15 block and a D16Y8 head.
