Good question dear...Acetone is availalbe at all chemists and comes in 100 & 400 ml bottles. For xylene you'll have to visit a chemical dealer. Now 100 ml acetone costs 35 bucks and 400 ml is for 108. These are Delhi rates.

Castrol 2T is available in 40 ml pouches costing 10 Rs. each. So basically these additives are not mighty expensive. I don't add xylene, hence don't know its cost. Maybe others here who are using xylene could tell you the cost.

Finetuning is the best person to explain the 'funda' of adding 2T to petrol cars. Alternatively if you search this thread, you might find a link somewhere...

For me, FE means (Distance traveled) / (Money spent for it), so also lemme know how much these chemicals cost.

Also.. can any1 tell me the 'funda' behind adding 2T oil to petrol? Cars already have separated oil sink. So why add more? And, why 2T?

Would like to try out this on my 98 Astra. It has already done over a lakh kms so is it ok to go ahead with the Acetone,2T?
And also the Boric Acid?
