Indica V2 DLS missing problem

From past couple of days I have noticed that after few minutes of running, the car starts missing at certain RPM which corresponds to 30-40kmph in second gear. Also the idle RPM increases on its own.
The car does not have an ECU, so I am suspecting either clogged diesel filters or water in fuel. Any other causes? Right now Fuel pump problem seems remote as the FP went through an overhaul 20K kms ago after an accident.

Tanveer, you are on the right track. Also have the "o" ring in the hand plunger checked. Sometimes this gives way and sucks in air, leading to a miss.

Even I am suspecting Air now because there is also "surging" RPM problem.
Found this excellent link
Diesel Engine Troubleshooting
This link has some common problems with solutions.
This is the second time this problem has come.
The first time this came right after service, before Narkanda trip.
The service guys said that pump timing was out of place and adjusted it. The car ran for a good 1500kms and this problem came again.
The inablity of tata guys to diagnose even simple problems is really irritating.

Got the problem fixed no missing now, did extensive testdrive.
Problem : Hand Primer leaking fuel. They said due to the leak the fuel line was taking in air. They checked the entire fuel line and filters(diesel) and they are clean. So air was the culprit
Bill : 544rs(350 for Parts(Hand Primer pump) and rest labour)
Washed the car and cleaned it for inside too. Guess this is standard practice for all repair jobs now.
