The above was identified as ignition coil issue and is was fixed. Now the car is running fine with two more issues to resolve

1)The remote lock suddenly make noice (twice in the middle of the night) without any reason
2)whenever i use hazardous light and horn the fuse blows off. what should be wrong ?

Thanks

Lower arms both just got replaced after i found the car to sway at speeds over 130kph.
Now only need to test.

SWAP your engine..1.8 zetec.

REPLACE YOUR AXLES ASAP. Its simply impossible to drive like that for a year BRO. or Repair them. This if not taken care of will cost you a BOMB later. Take care of the problem as soon as possible.
Danalan,

Is it possible to get hold of the 14" ford OEM allows? Will i need to contact ford or will the tyre dealers be able source it?

1.8 zectec will need to be imported right? wont tuning and basic maintenance be a problem considering local mechs usually avoid ford cars since they are a nightmare to tune. They say only the showroom is equipped to work on the cars.

I getting my driveshafts ( metioned as axles above ) refurbished as opposed to replacing them, will let you guys know how they perform.

I didnt find any other way! i have taken a screen shot of the document.

Repair Bill.doc

Also i was shocked at point no.6 of the NOTE: on the repair bill. attached below :
IKONic problems-bill-msg.jpg

"6. Vehicles left at our works will be stored & driven entirely at owner's risk & responsibility."

What if the service person drives rashly and make a crash?

But But these expenses are only of the last year...THE CAR IS NOW 8YEARS OLD. No expenses for the previous 7years.

Never even realised the cost till i sat with the bill book. Although so much has gone into it, iam STILL IKON CRAZY...Love the car totally.

Yes both Tires: Yoko's and 14" ikon alloys. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY on modding this Engine. This 91ps engine is the worst to mod. Even doing things like FFE,Airfilter, Ecu..etc will make NO MAJOR CHANGE IN PERFORMANCE. Max 12bhp more can be extracted from it with all these mods in place. SWAP your engine..1.8 zetec.

REPLACE YOUR AXLES ASAP. Its simply impossible to drive like that for a year BRO. or Repair them. This if not taken care of will cost you a BOMB later. Take care of the problem as soon as possible.
1.8 zetec? do you mean the petrol 1.8 from the UK? any idea how much it costs to get in? any contacts for this? what about the 2.0 zetec from the mondeo? anyone have any ideas about the feasibility of using this? or is the 1.8 from the indian mondeo?

Just got a call from Ford - Chennai & ICICI Insurance that they have left few things which would be added and re-circulated. That would be like another 20K + !!!

I too have touched 170Kms, but was not able to go beyond that as the road ended. And didn't get an opportunity to test it beyond that!
