Its not that it cant be done but rather going for 6hp increase its better to go for 30HP increase with upgrading stock 1.5 nonvtec to JDM D15b vtec Naturally Aspirated!

Some more light on this sir!!...Or rather some details of the JDM D15 engine...Are running the same engine on your car??

132 odd bhp. And no, he's running the B16.

Very easy to get to 132 bhp on a VTEC but will cost a bit ..

AFAIK OHC 1.5 outsold the 1.3 & the VTEC always sold in small numbers. Somehow the 1.5 was percieved by customers are the best VFM car among the three.

Is there a 2003 Vtec ? i could not find any in the market. or did Honda stop the vtec in 2002 itself ?

The Old Vtec was there even in 2003 . The old Vtec production stopped end 2003 around October along with the 1.5 and 1.3 OHCs. The NHC came in November '03

If I remember correctly GTO's is a '03 Vtec. Mine is a '03 1.5

im told that in 2004, when NHC was launched dealer stocks of VTEC AND 1.5s carried good discounts....were you two among the lucky few !!!

I think you got it wrong there. there was shortage of OHCs towards the end of 2003 when the NHC was released.
