Here you go, the port location: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/techni...ml#post2414522

In case you want to use a cable, you might as well buy the wired (to serial port) OBD adapter.

I came across this when i was searching of some OBD app like torque for IOS :

https://itunes.apple.com/in/app/dash...321293183?mt=8

Also, a different adapter which provides a wifi access to OBD will be required as apple has restricted access to bluetooth services (or the apple bluetooth stack doesnt support bluetooth serial protocol) and ELM327 (bluetooth) will not work.

Yes, Dashcommand is popular for iOS. There is even an Android port available in the Play store. The customization options available in Torque are what matters to me though. But agree that preferences could differ.

The ELM327 comes in a wired form as well. Instead of Bluetooth, the external interface is a wired Serial line. The dongle will have a cable that would connect to a Serial port.

You cannot connect the OBD adapter to the mobile phone or tablet, but you can certainly connect it to your laptop with a serial port/USB-Serial dongle, and then use the bundled app.

Hi,
Can anyone tell if Santro 2007 model is OBD/OBD2 compliant? If yes, where is the OBD port located. Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi

Sorry for Qouting such a old post but this is the only one for MANZA that i could find and it points as if the protocol is not supported by MANZA.

I used a generic Bluetooth adapter (ELM327 , OBDII) from Amazon (bluetooth version) and connected nexus 7 (fully updated) with torque (free) and Car Gauge Lite and it worked with both of the softwares.

Btw, my Manza is a OCT2011 BS IV version.

re: OBD (On-board diagnostics) for Indian Cars

Fellas I am having a peculiar issue.
I get OBD done for my Old Honda City (02) today. There were two kinds of DTCs irst being current DTC and other Intermittent DTC.
current DTC searched few error codes but when we tried erasing them, the machine shows process being done but the codes didnt get get erased. We redone the error check and they again showed current DTC search. What could be the issue?
Are we doing the right way?

If there is a hardware problem, like a sensor not working. Most times, the error will not be cleared.

btw, what is the error code (#) ?

Well to be honest first I was shocked to see 37 error codes all together. I didn't remember all but to specify there was air pump fault, cylinder misfire, heater sensor fault, IAT error.
The CEL light is off. The car is running fine with occasional or negligible missing (when speeding up from low (20-30) speed).
Cylinder misfire showed with 2nd and 4th cylinder.
One more thing I did just to check, I removed the MAP sensor which turned on the CEL but it was not showing in the OBD.

I also took TPS reading it sowed 0.66 then adjusted TPS and increased the figure to 1.72. I hope its right figure!?!

Would be illuminating to know the exact error codes, like @vikram_d and @dhanushs have asked.

* Your engine could definitely do with some shake up - spark plug cleaning and gap setting, removing and reconnecting sensor connectors, etc.

* Some error codes are associative - removing a sensor need not throw up and error code, since the controls would use a replacement default and get on with life

* Didn't understand the following:
- "air pump fault",
- "heater sensor fault",
- "current DTC search"

I know. What I didn't understand was "current DTC search"! "Search" is not understandable in this context.
