Can some one help me with Swift and ELM Scan 5 (elm 327 chip, 1.3a version firmware).

If I connect it to DLC connector, using the scan terminal, I find that is detects the protocol as ISO 14230. It does not read any sensors, but issuing AT MA dumps data constantly and the vaues change if you press throttle, so I assume some data is coming out of engine. Now question is how to make sense out of it.

What software are you using to interpret the output of ELM 327 ?

I am using these clicky on my audi which I got for 10$ before.

The compatible ross tech software is free for all basic stuff like reading and erasing error codes on all modules. You have to spend a 100 more to go advanced.

scantool.net that came with the elm. Also tried using terminal to communicate with elm to manually send commands.

Does anyone know of a budget scanner for the Mitsubishi MUT3 protocol. From what i read of MUT3 or MUT-III, it is a variation of the ICAN protocol.

Does anyone have any prior experience of using this scanner.

All links on the net points to a 1.5L + scanner with a laptop. sounds useless to me .
Maybe something in the range of max 15k 20K would be better. maybe a cable+software combo that can be loaded to any laptop.

Am about to order a ELM 327 scanner for my Corsa
Has anyone had any success with OBD II on a corsa? and if yes, which protocol
I guess it is ISO 9141-2, from the pin-outs on the OBD II connector in the fusebox area, but would love to hear from anyone who has actually tried it out

scantools for jdm vehicles ala suzuki

I was curious about this thread and after going through the thread I am of the impression there was no tool for Suzuki vehicles other than the Tech II tool which is used in service centres. So is there any tool that was identified for use with suzuki vehicles?

I came across this interesting thread which talks about a tool call blitz r vit which is specific to JDM specific vehicles.

Suzuki Club Singapore - View topic - ScanGauge II & ElmScan 5 OBD-II Diagnostic Scantool

But it appears quite expensive around 400+ USD.

Does anybody have any experience to report using an OBD II reader with Verna CRDi? Am interested in monitoring RPM and reading any engine check codes.

Hyundai are OBDII compliant

So far both my Hyundai cars Getz, Sonata Embera are OBDII compliant. So you can use any off the shelf OBDII scanner. I have scanguage make by linear logic that works well with both the cars. Even custom programming xgauge works well too.
