"shock absorbers" or "shocks",... i think there are no "shockers".

ur mechanic is almost right by visual analysis.

it can either be the shock absorber or its springs.

but, am sorry i have no idea about the suspension system of Santro.

Dear ViC

I am sure you would have taken care of the following aspect:

An Asphalted road will have a camber and if you have parked the car on the RHS of the road and keep looking from the rear, you may see the tilt you are explaining.

Check this aspect on a flat surface before changing the shock absorbers.
If the shocks need replacement, it will be glaringly clear when you are driving because of road conditions.
if you are not facing this problem, I feel there is no need to worry.

Vic
Try to jerk your car, if it comes back to the original position in one go your shocks are ok.. if it keeps swinging.. then they might need a look into.. Hope it helps.

Dear Sukesh,

Thank you for your reponse. I have tried that but it seems even when parked on a flat road , the tilt is slightly there. However i have not faced any problem in driving, so i guess changing the shocks will be a bad idea.

Thanks again ....cheers !!

you could get you suspension out and check the height of each side shock absorber. that could tell you if anything is wrong.

Check the condition of your tyres for uneven wear. If they are alright then i guess you have no problems.
