re: Beehive on my car - Now what?

HI There,
Have seen this issue. They can easily be pushed away with smoke. Light a small fire with wood and allow the smoke to be close to this. Suggest you keep your face covered with a net if you have or a muslin cloth.
HIT spray for mosquitos also works on them if they haven't formed a hive but that wud be cruelty hence don't suggest it until a dire need

Best wishes

Good to hear they are back, but hope not with Vengeance

DIY Bee Spray

For a natural way to deter bees, consider making your own bee spray.
Bees are naturally attracted to sweet smells, like fruit, honey and floral perfumes. They’re also deterred by certain smells, mainly peppermint and cinnamon.
To make a repellent spray:
  • Mix 1 drop peppermint oil, tea tree oil, or cinnamon oil (or all three) with 1 cup unscented baby shampoo.
  • Pour the mixture into an empty spray bottle.
  • Spray all areas you want to keep bees away from.
Place Cinnamon

Another alternative bee repelling method is to sprinkle ground cinnamon around the hive for at least a week. The smell will deter the bees, and may cause them to relocate their hive.

re: Beehive on my car - Now what?

A bee started staying inside our milk box and slowly the no’s started increasing. Today when I tried to collect the milk from the box it had the audacity to show its sting to the owner of the house (myself). In a fit of Rage gave them a generous spray of Hit. Now I’m worried seeing them dead

These are not bees but wasps. They are much more aggressive and also have a nasty sting. The best bet is to eliminate them when they start reconnaissance of areas to make their nest.

A car & bee-related story from the US:

A Man Found 15,000 Bees in His Car After Grocery Shopping

The date of the above New York Times article was given as 1/April. That was cause for concern and hence, the second source below from the Las Cruces Fire Department which has dated the incident as on 28/March:

Bee Swarm that Invaded Parked Car is Safely Relocated by Off-duty Firefighter

Update:
Beehive is removed by the professional without hurting the bees.
Anyone facing this issue, please do not resort to any measures which will harm or kill the bees. Apart from being a life form just like us, bees are very important for the ecosystem, and it was reported that bees were fast dwindling in numbers. There are professionals who will eliminate the hives without harming the bees - please always use their services when needed.

re: Beehive on my car - Now what?

Call these experts to relocate bees (I am not associated with any of them. Saw this news article and thought of sharing).

Source: Deccan Herald news report

Quote:
Excerpt:
Apoorva B V, chairman, The Hive Trust, says, “When the hive is in closer proximity to areas of human interaction, relocation is needed,” he says. If the hives are at points that humans do not access, avoid moving the bees. “In such cases, allow them to complete their life cycle and leave. Swarms of bees visit Bengaluru from March to June and October to December,” says Apoorva. To avoid the formation of beehives, one can create fixtures to cover the projections or block ceilings with a cloth.
