Clutch Plate change for Matiz

I have a December 1999 Matiz SD model and have clocked 84000 km. I maintain a strict service schedule every 5000km / 5months. ( which ever is earlier). The clutch plate being used is still original. I had a problem with gear shift cable which was replaced at 82000km. Is it suggested as a preventive maintenance I should get the clutch plate assembly changed.

If your car is able to accelerate on steep hills without any problems, your clutch is fine. Don't bother.

My Matiz original clutch plate failed at 110,000 kms. As long as you are a good driver, you should get that much. I think you can safely go along for least another 10-20,000 kms.

IMO a clutch plate would give ample and not critical warning of impending failure, like slippage or difficulty in gear change. thus preventive maintenance on this is not advised. also you have 10-20k more life left like mentioned above.
preventive maintenance in matiz at your running would be a timing belt change. if this item fails it ruins your engine. moreover it has NO warning of imminenet failure.
