I had tar deposits on my rear bumper after a drive over a freshly tarred road, WD40 was very effective and helped me to remove most of the tar spots.


Maybe you can spray at some lower area of your car at first to check whether it is having any negative action on the paint.

Spray it and wait for 2 minutes, wipe it off with a soft cloth.
