Why dont you buy yourself a K&N recharge kit instead? Its a DIY thing and should last you for some years to come even assuming once every 10k kms.

see cleaning air filter wont harm it in any way and definitely has plus points associated, i dont know why we are adamant to push it to the limit of what the manufacturer claims.

the whole process takes 30 mts and its an absolute DIY, and i think the americans still havent figured out the indian dusty conditions now dont you guys start stating the country roads in america.. i was just kiddin

Why that's an issue? I bought my K&N cleaning/oil kit some time back. It got over just a week ago. Cleaned three different sizes (two times for each) of filters.

Just got a call from the SA. This is turning into something else. He is saying crank shaft nut has got cut, one piece is stuck inside and this is a major repair. He is talking about using insurance. I am going there now.

Please carry your camera and flash. This is something new.

Needless to say, it'll be a help for your insurance also.

Ask them not to carry on the repairs .. Get there with a cam immediately and take pics .. Not eliminating this as a possibility .. But they could be true ..

Why should you claim insurance if the car is still under warranty ? But why such major repairs in a brand new car ??

See if insurance or warranty covers the part .. If not find out the rate of a new crankshaft and give me a call .. I have a spare one .. Also I am not sure if they will have stock .. Which will mean a lot of delay to get your car back running ..
