Clutch problem or what ?

Hi,

Just yesterday i drove my friends friend Esteem. It was a very nicely maintained car. Every thing was top notch except when i was gear shifting the engine used to rev when i used to press clutch to change gear.

Any idea whats the prob ?

Hmmm...either accel cable is the problem or ..Could be the clutch also,Your releasing the Clutch too early and giving acc..that why it over revs...The clutch of that car must be releasing really late..right at the end.You must be used to your car's clutch so your releasing it half way.YUP his clutch needs replacement.

Check if the idling is set properly.
