Yes they are contradicting. But the service center in kolkata seemed to be well equipped. They also have people who worked on AT. Confusing for customers. Siliguri service center also changed my vacuum modulator which I feel was not required. Neither the top up… like discussed in this forum there was no leakage, where would the oil go? The sound is still there but rare. I think it’s not coming from transmission, may be some other issues. I had a 500 kms highway drive on Sunday, the car performed flawlessly as before. |

The ATF here is JWS3309 spec (Mobil ATF3309, Suzuki ATF3317) and one can extend this to Toyota T-IV too. |

Boy oh boy!! I have used my 2017 XUV W6 AT for 141k kms on stock ATF believing sealed for life! Though sometimes I feel jerky downshifting, i didnt pay much attention to it thinking its normal. Now after seeing this post its alarm bells for me. I have booked an appointment tomorrow to check the ATF and replace if necessary. Its just an oil change costing Rs. 1800, but peace of mind is important as I average around 5000kms a month. |

I changed the transmission oil. The old oil was pitch black in colour. The service advisor was against the idea of changing the oil stating that there is no need and the car is good to go. After insisting they agreed to change it and there is a huge difference in the drive. The gear changes are smooth and even the downshifts are not felt now. Attaching pics of the old oil. The total cost for the same was 2133 including taxes. |
