Yesterday while checking oil noticed a crack in a hose. For the time being, I have put on duct tape on it.

Any idea what is this for and how urgently I should get it fixed.

It is a 2013 ecosport 1.5L petrol version.

Thanks

^ Appears to be a vent tube from the fuel tank to the air intake - part of the EVAP system. The tape would do just fine. Spray some colin all over the engine bay and wipe off, could do with some cleaning :)

Thanks, i checked with FORD service center today, mechanic said its a brake booster vacuum line and entire line need to be replaced.

it will cost 4500 with labor as child rubber part is not available,

but i am not sure why vacuum line will be connected to air filter hose.

uploading some additional images
