I have my own sweetheart to look after, thank you. I might also add that she is extremely happy with the way she's been looked after - with or without turbo.
That car is his Uncle's car not his and he rightfully may not have the auto-enthusiast's attachment.

Well he has pulled yours too!!
Update:
The car has been repaired for Rs. 70,000. Still need to find out from uncle the parts replaced. It was done from Ford. Mistake from our side was not to file for insurance immediately as we thought they would not cover it.
As per insurance company if they are informed within 24hrs they will step in and get the inspection and estimate done. If we get teh estimate done i.e. ford opens up to see the extent of damage then file for insurance, insurance co. will not agree for claim. Due to the 2 week delay insurance refused.
The car has been sold for 4.05L.
My uncle has bought the Innova and he is expecting delivery on Thursday.
Vid, how was the car following the repairs?

Do you have any experience in crossing knee deep water and facing problem in Ford Fiesta/Figo ?
Sorry for digging up the old thread, but just wanted to update that when we visited Ford dealership in my city to have a look at Figo, the sales team told us that Ford Figo can invade in 550mm deep water without any problem. That is what the manufacturer has claimed. IMHO, the figure is good enough and considering that Figo is cousin on Fiesta, Fiesta must be able to go through 15 cm water without any problem.
Ford did some testing on Fiesta and I think Ford has arrived at the figure of 550mm after that testing.

Man this is ironic. 3 years on and I've landed up with a car that has the same engine as the one my uncle had. What comes around goes around I guess.
aaggoswami, Ford advertises for all it's cars about the ability to wade in 550mm of water, the Fiesta also had this.
Unfortunately it is not entirely true for the Figo or for any small car.
Incase of the Figo the air intake is situated in the left fender, I still haven't been able to figure out where the intake ends and what height it's at as it disappears into the fender.
Needless to say having it in the fender is not the best position and water can get in quite easily. You just have to be careful and have good judgement. Luckily I haven't come across deep water as yet even though it's been pouring cats and dogs in Bangalore.
But on seeing ur reply, the next time it rains, i'll have goosebumps since i also own a figo 1.4. Try to figure out where's the location of the air intake and is it waterproof. And one more thing, can v clean the left tyre and the area nearby it with high pressure water?

IMO, nothing would happen if the car is moving.
Trouble is when you are static (idle mode) in knee deep water.
