My PUCC certificates dont state whether BS3 or BS4.
In fact my 2014 Gypsy is BS4 but is listed in its RC as being BS3 I dont know why.
Ideally the PUCC certificates across India ought to be of the same format, but from these posts, it appears now that they arent.

Is the method and / or regulations different for different engine capacity? The Koreans come with a much smaller engine vs. the Germans. My Marazzo also has a 1.5ltr diesel and i have never faced an issue in getting readings. Also, it has always been through the exhaust pipe.

Issuing BS3 PUC certificate for BS4 vehicles is a SCAM. It happens every where, here also.
BS3 PUC certificate is valid for 6 months only.
BS4 PUC certificate is valid for 1 year!

Re: Help needed in emission checking for Audi A4 & BMW X1 (both diesel)

I had similar issue with my BS IV Hexa when it had twin exhaust. Due to manufacturing defects TATA replaced it with single exhaust and post which never had the issue with PUC. When the PUC was done with twin exhaust they had equipment plugged in one exhaust only. Looks like they were not getting the right emissions values with respect to the RPM.

I got my Pollution Certificate for my Audi A4 issued without any hassle at 8th Main Road, Malleswaram, next to Shankara Petrol Bunk. It is now valid till Sept 2024.
