ohh.if they start mentioning in news papers then all the hyundai owners would try to get their work done at this point of time/with a discount.maybe they will put an ad 1-2 days before it is getting over.

There was a Advertisement in times of India about the free car clinic as part of the 10 year celebration. But it included as a small line (in small font) in the offers they provided for new cars.

ash_blore,
All Hyundai service centers provide this free car clinic across the country. So go ahead get ur car serviced.

Another free checking camp? Wonder when Ford will start these kind of free check ups?

Why waste money on giving an ad for a free service camp. Sms'es were sent out to the owners.

Because Sms'es may or may not reach the correct person. Suppose the person who has purchased hyundai car and has changed the mobile no or has sold the car to another buyer and he would not receive the sms as his no. would not be registered...then advt in papers is a best way to inform public as most of the public reads newspapers.

Usually sms is sent to the number which was given in the previous service, but still newspaper advt is good thing, but how many of the owners might actually come across the newspaper ad is debatable.

Usually and AFAIK, most of the people will read newspapers in the morning time or during leisure hrs in that particular day. Moreovder, sms'es cannot contain all the details of the ad they want to inform to general public.

I agree. This sms initiative is by the service centre. Hyundai should advertise.

^ Did get an sms from Trident and also a mail from HMIL. Got the 20% off on the extended warranty. I'm glad I didn't take it when I bought the car recently.
