Dear Team,

I have bought Zen Vxi of 2003 almost 2 months back, Car is Great no issues with it, except A/C, A/C works fine but its not blasting. I chked this thing with local mechanic he said Get your A/C service which will cost you 1600 Rs, Another guy ( Mechanic ) said get gas top up which will cost you 400-500 Rs, Now I am confused what shd do ??

Plz advice, Also do need to get engine tubes or something to get more fuel efficiency, I have already changed engine oil.Air filer,Fuel filer, I am getting 13.5km/liter without A/c, I guess if I use A/C then average will be 11 km, I dives 58km/ day in Mumbai

Plz help

Jitendra

AC gas top-up is needed if the refrigerant gas in the system's level is lower than normal. Top-up should cost Rs.350.
This should solve ur AC woes.

Is the AC throw less or cooling low?

For throw as mech 1 said get ac system serviced, if its the cooling and air throw is ok, just top up the gas.

Mileage you quoted is ok for bombay city driving.

Also do ask the mech what he meant by engine tubes and post here which will help.

It is a 4 yr old car and dunno if the AC has ever been serviced or not. In that case the condensor could be choked. Check with the previous owner, when was AC last serviced. If you don't get a satisfactory answer, then my suggestion is to go for full AC service.

Dear Team,

Thx for your answers to my question, As suggested I will chk with previous owner and will take appropriate action! I also intend to put LPG in my car I have already search on Team bhp but honestly I am not happy with replies as you know I drives 58km per day still I am not to sure shd I invest open loop LPG kit which will cost me 18k in mumbai, as I don’t know in how many months I will recover this money, Also whether it will damage my engine or not also how it will perform with A/C on ?
If you give me your thoughts on above queries that will be great help

Best Regards,
Jitendra

U should save around 2 rupees per km.Which... in ur case translates to 10,000kms or 6 months approximately.
Lets have the LPG discussion on a different thread.
